Activator & Impulse Spinal & Joint Manipulation

Chiropractor adjusting patient with activator instrumentAt Valley Chiropractic and Wellness Center we also offer spine or joint manipulation utilizing Activator and Impulse adjusting instruments. This is a different type of adjustment than the typical adjustments a chiropractor makes. Instead of using their hands a chiropractor will use adjusting instruments. An adjusting instrument is a small, hand-held instrument that delivers a high-speed and low-force adjustment to the patient. It allows very safe, effective, and specific correction of the spine and other joints, without involving twisting the body. With adjusting instruments a chiropractor can precisely adjust ribs, or TMJ joints, which are typically very tender, very effectively and comfortably. An adjusting instrument is often utilized on children who have trouble sitting still, or elderly patients that may be contraindicated for a manual adjustment.

Why We Use Adjusting Instruments

Adjustments using instruments carry the same benefits as manual adjustments. Whether you have neck pain, back pain, whiplash, headaches, knee pain, sciatica, disc problems, carpal tunnel, shoulder pain, or any other pain, adjusting instruments make it possible for nearly anyone to receive chiropractic care. Chiropractic care keeps the spine aligned and helps your body to perform at the highest level. Chiropractic care also helps to reduce pain and the risk of future injuries.
